Caracterización de la producción científica sobre la salud de los adolescentes en revistas médicas cubanas / Characterization of the investigations and the scientific production on adolescence in Cuban medical magazines

Introducción: La adolescencia es un periodo de desarrollo y crecimiento durante el cual las personas establecen su sentido de identidad individual, adaptación a capacidades intelectuales más maduras, a las exigencias de la sociedad en lo que respecta a la conducta, internalización de un sistema de valores personales y la preparación para roles de adultos. En este periodo acontecen transformaciones biológicas, psicológicas y sociales que requieren de atención especializada. Los resultados de la investigación científica que se traducen en producción científica pueden contribuir al perfeccionamiento de la atención integral a los adolescentes. Objetivo: Caracterizar el comportamiento de la producción científica relacionada con la adolescencia. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo bibliométrico, se definieron las producciones científicas e investigaciones que abordan los principales problemas de salud de los adolescentes cubanos. Para el estudio se tomó el universo de la producción científica de la Revista Cubana de Salud Pública, Revista Cubana de Pediatría y Revista Cubana de Medicina Familiar en el periodo 2011-2015. Resultados: Se identificaron de forma armónica la correspondencia entre los principales problemas de salud de los adolescentes y las temáticas abordadas en las revistas seleccionadas. Conclusiones: La generalización de la comunicación científica favorece la solución de los principales problemas de salud identificados en los adolescentes cubanos(AU)

Introduction: The adolescence is a period of development and growth during which the persons establish its sense of individual identity, adaptation to more mature intellectual capacities, to the requirements of the society as for the conduct, internalization of a system of personal values and the preparation for adults' rolls. In this period there happen biological, psychological and social transformations that need of specializing attention. The results of the scientific investigation that are translated in scientific production can contribute to the improving of the integral attention to and the adolescents. Objective: To characterize the behavior of the scientific production related to the adolescence, bibliométricos realized a descriptive study, defining the scientific productions and investigations that tackle the main problems of health of and the Cuban adolescents. Methods: For the study there took the universe of the scientific production of the Cuban Magazine of Public health, Cuban Magazine of Paediatrics and Cuban Magazine of Familiar Medicine in the period 2011-2015. Results: The present investigation allowed to identify of harmonic form the mail between the main problems of health of and the adolescents and the subject-matters tackled in the chosen magazines. Conclusions: The generalization of the scientific communication favors the solution of the main problems of health identified in and the Cuban adolescents(AU)

Sistema informático para la gestión de datos del docente / Computer system for professor's data management

Introducción: la Escuela Nacional de Salud Pública centro de referencia para la preparación posgraduada en salud pública cuenta con una estructura departamental que vela por el constante desarrollo profesional y científico de su claustro, para ello requiere de sólidos mecanismos de control. Objetivo: implementar una herramienta para la gestión de información de los jefes de departamentos docentes en base al plan de desarrollo individual del profesor. Métodos: revisión bibliográfica y documental, entrevista a las especialistas del departamento de cuadros y jefes de departamento docente. Como soporte tecnológico se seleccionó el Gestor de Base de Datos Microsoft Office Access, teniéndose en cuenta que genera aplicaciones de escritorio que dan respuesta a la necesidad. Se implementó como prueba para validar y obtener criterios. Resultados: se obtuvo una base de datos relacional con una tabla principal que recoge la información del docente y 14 tablas más relacionadas entre sí. Los datos recogidos fueron: profesión, especialidad, categoría docente, categoría investigativa, grado científico, dominio de idioma, resultado de evaluación docente, condecoraciones y títulos honoríficos y datos personales. Posee formularios de entrada, un sistema de informes que permite el acceso de forma rápida a los datos. La fase de prueba arrojó criterios positivos y propuestas de mejoras. Conclusiones: la herramienta permitirá a los jefes de departamentos llevar a cabo un flujo de información completo de cada profesor para la elaboración de una estrategia departamental evidenciada en la fase de prueba(AU)

Introduction: The National School of Public Health, a reference center for postgraduate training on public health, has a departmental structure that ensures the constant professional and scientific development of its teaching faculty, for which it requires strong control mechanisms. Objective: To implement a tool for information management by the heads of the teaching departments based on the teacher's individual development plan. Methods: Bibliographical and documentary review, interviews with the specialists of the cadres' department and heads of teaching department. As a technological support, the database manager Microsoft Office Access was chosen, taking into account that it generates desktop applications that respond to the need. It was implemented as a test to validate and obtain criteria. Results: A relational database was obtained with a main table that collected the information of the teacher and 14 tables more related to each other. The data collected were: profession, specialty, teaching category, research category, scientific degree, language proficiency, educational evaluation result, decorations and honorary titles, and personal data. It has entry forms, a reporting system that allows quick access to data. The test stage revealed positive criteria and proposed improvements. Conclusions: The tool will allow the heads of departments to carry out a complete information flow of each teacher for the elaboration of a departmental strategy evidenced in the test stage(AU)

Desarrollo de recursos humanos para la gestión de sistema y servicios en la atención primaria de salud / Development of Human Resources for Managing System and Services in the Primary Health Care

Introducción: en el desarrollo de la estrategia de Atención Primaria de Salud, uno de los factores determinantes es garantizar el perfeccionamiento pertinente de los recursos humanos que posibilite alcanzar la meta de Salud Para Todos. Objetivo: profundizar en la búsqueda de información sobre el desarrollo de recursos humanos para la gestión de sistemas y servicios en la Atención Primaria de Salud. Método: se realizó una revisión bibliográfica actualizada sobre el desarrollo de los recursos humanos en la Atención Primaria de Salud, donde se consultaron las bases de datos incluidas en los servicios LILACS, EBSCO e HINARI. Los artículos que se examinaron incluyeron revisiones de documentos, artículos de investigación, informes especializados sobre el tema y capítulos de libros extraídos como acceso libre o solicitados a los autores. Resultados: entre los elementos esenciales de un sistema de salud basados en Atención Primaria de Salud están los recursos humanos, quienes deben poseer los conocimientos y habilidades adecuados, además de observar las normas éticas y tratar a las personas con dignidad y respeto. Conclusiones: se hace necesaria una perspectiva orientada a reconocer la formación de recursos humanos en APS para lograr servicios de excelencia en la atención a la población(AU)

Introduction: In the development of the strategy of Primary Health Care, one of the determining factors is guaranteeing the pertinent refinement of the human resources that makes it possible to reach the goal Health for All. Objective: Deepen in the search of information on the development of human resources for managing systems and services in the Primary Health Care. Method: A bibliographic revision was conducted on updated literature on human resources development in the Primary Health Care (PHC), data bases included in LILACS, EBSCO, and HINARI were consulted. The revised articles discussed document reviews, research articles, and special reports on the subject and as free access book chapters or requested to authors. Results: Human resources are among the essential elements of a health system based on primary health care. These resources must have the appropriate knowledge and skills in addition to observe ethical standards and behave towards people with dignity and respect. Conclusions: A perspective becomes necessary orientated to recognize the formation of human resources in PHC to achieve services of excellence in assisting the population(AU)

Propuesta de instrumento para la identificación de conocimientos sobre crecimiento y desarrollo infantil en egresados de la carrera de Medicina / Proposal of instrument for identification of knowledge on growth and development in medical graduates

Introducción: las consultas de Puericultura constituyen el principal escenario para promover un crecimiento y desarrollo óptimo del niño y el adolescente. Objetivo: elaborar una propuesta de instrumento que identifique los conocimientos sobre crecimiento y desarrollo en los egresados de la carrera de Medicina. Métodos: se realizó una investigación de desarrollo tecnológico en el campo de la Educación Médica Superior. Para la confección del cuestionario se seleccionó el tipo de preguntas de test objetivo. El instrumento elaborado fue sometido a criterio de expertos y a estudio piloto en un área de salud del municipio Boyeros. Resultados: las características de los expertos que participaron en la investigación facilitaron el análisis del cuestionario. Los términos utilizados resultaron de una adecuada comprensión para los participantes. El cuestionario permitió identificar áreas deficientes del conocimiento. Conclusiones: el instrumento que se propone abarca los contenidos de crecimiento y desarrollo en las diferentes etapas de la vida, y permite identificar los conocimientos adquiridos en los educandos.

Introduction: Childcare service is the main setting for the promotion of the optimal growth and development of the child and the adolescent. Objective: to prepare a proposal of instrument that identifies the knowledge on growth and development acquired by the medical graduates. Methods: a technological and development research in the field of higher medical education was conducted. For the preparation of the questionnaire, the type of objective test questions was selected. The final instrument was submitted to the experts´ criteria and was used in a pilot study in a health area of Boyeros municipality. Results: the characteristics of the experts included in the research made the analysis of the questionnaire easier. The terms used were correctly understood by the participants. The questionnaire also allowed detecting in what areas the lack of knowledge of students was evident. Conclusions: the suggested instrument comprises the contents of growth and development at the various stages of life and also allows identifying the amount of knowledge acquired by the students.

Aspectos éticos en pediatría / Ethical features in Pediatrics

Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica sobre la ética en pediatría, con el objetivo de corroborar los criterios actuales sobre el tema. Se analizaron algunos dilemas éticos y bioéticos que se deben tener en cuenta en la relación médico-paciente. Se brinda información sobre algunas particularidades del consentimiento informado y se diferencian las formas de comunicación según las edades pediátricas.

A bibliographic review was conducted on the Ethics in Pediatrics to corroborate the current criteria on this subject. Some ethical and bioethical dilemmas were analyzed took into account in the physician-patient relation. Authors offer information on some peculiarities of informed consent and the ways of communication according to children ages were distinguished.
